Happy daylight savings time. These are the hardest days to get used to the older I get. But, it does mean brighter days are ahead. We don’t experience much rain or cold weather in San Diego but when we do, it is extreme. With the news freaking out about this virus spreading like wildfire, I am excited to get fresh air and spring cleaning underway.
Speaking of spring cleaning, it is also time to evaluate my crafting organization. I recently re-organized my stamp and mini ink collection. You can check it out on my Instagram: sewmuchglitter. Michael’s is a great resource for organization and coupons!
As a crafter, I don’t normally purge my collection. So, I try to save space as I can. And of course, we all want the latest and greatest to improve our crafty skills. When new products come out, they are not always the same quality as others. I find that I cannot use the same blender applicator with different type of inks because they are all meant to be used in different ways. I LOVE using Tim Holtz distress inks but they are a different formula than my other inks. So of course……I want them to have their own applicator because it is one more thing I can shop for (shhh. our secret). In the name of saving space and using the right supplies for the right job, I found a fun way to store my applicators.
I have the scrapbook.com blending tool and enjoy using the domed applicators but find that Tim Holtz applicators are more available and I can use those fun COUPONS! I discovered that either of those applicators fit nicely under my mini distress inks, and they still fit in my storage. WIN WIN! In order to get them to stay in place I use Velcro dots. The opposite side of the applicator adheres perfectly. I have found Velcro dots at Walmart and the Dollar Tree. That is my fun tidbit for now. I hope this helps or inspires you. I would love to hear how you save space while still adding to your crafting collection. Let me know in the comments below. Don’t forget to check out my Instagram where you can see my new stamp storage.
I hope you have a fabulous week! I am having a lot of fun exploring my creativity with the 30 day coloring challenge. You can hop in and out as you desire or just check out everyone’s creativity. I have the # on my Instagram where you can find the details and beautiful artwork.
I’ll be back soon with a fun tutorial that will add sparkle to your spring gatherings!
